Canada Gap 10.1 Updates Summary

Canada Gap has always been a special certification for me when assisting my clients. Every year before the start of the growing season, there are typically some programs, either criteria (requirements) or form updates.

I am keeping this simple and short.

  • The minimum audit duration is 3.5 hours so please expect 3.5 hours. Exception must be documented, but you don’t have to do anything as a grower or producer.
  • You will be inspected for a minimum of one activity per crop year
  • Good news when it comes to traceability -url for public registry. Get your brand verified and certified.

Do you take more Canada Gap client audits?

We know how hard it is for farmers to understand the requirements and be able to obtain the certification. We are willing to help.

Here is the kick: We only take and maintain clients who can complete audit records independently.

Can you get Canada Gap without a consultant?

A consultant can help. One of my clients has been trying hard for more than 2-3 years to obtain Canada Gap certification independently, and we managed to get them started in the initial year.

What language are you able to support us?

We do English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. And if you are working with foreign workers from another country, the Canada Gap program has translated forms to assist you with compliance.

We also partnered with our software provider to help you achieve your Canada Gap certification.
