With the recent closure of the public commenting process for SQF Edition 10, we stand on the brink of a significant milestone in food safety and quality assurance. The anticipation is palpable as we await the official publication of the SQF Edition 10 code, which promises to bring about essential changes that will shape the landscape of food manufacturing and safety protocols.
So, what can you do in this interim period? The answer is simple: start planning for the changes ahead.
The draft of SQF Edition 10 offers a valuable preview of what’s to come, and now is the perfect time to assess your current programs and make necessary upgrades.
It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed by yet another code change; however, it’s important to remember that updates are a natural part of any GFSI-based scheme as they adapt to evolving industry standards.
At SFPM Consulting Inc., we recognize that these transitions can be daunting. That’s why I’m excited to share our comprehensive plan designed to support both our current and future SQF clients through this transition. Our approach includes developing and updating procedures tailored for compliance with SQF Edition 10, hosting informative webinars to discuss key changes, and providing relevant procedure template updates.
